The Zero.1 is a product concept from designers Francesco Cugusi and Roberto Strippoli. It plays CDs. It plays vinyl. It looks beautiful doing both. It also recognises the gaps between songs on the vinyl and memorises them, allowing you to skip tracks with the remote like you would when playing a cd.

Gorgeous, right?
Unfortunately it's just a concept for the time being, and I'm not sure whether the market is there for something like this anymore, unless the audio quality is fantastic. Do people still buy standalone cd players to plug into amps except audiophiles? And within that audiophile market, is the audio quality of the vinyl turntable portion good enough to satifsy them?
Enquiring minds want to know.
